Meet the co-founders of Labforge.
Yassir is a dedicated entrepreneur who is responsible for business relations and overall company vision at Labforge. He holds a MASc and BASc in Mechatronics Engineering from the University of Waterloo, and has extensive experience in system integration, hardware design, and control systems. Prior to forming Labforge, Yassir has held positions at Hatch, Prodomax Automation, Husky Injection Molding Systems, and Raytheon Canada.
Thomas is an expert in embedded and distributed systems who is responsible for infrastructure design and the technological vision at Labforge. He holds a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Waterloo, and a Dipl. -Ing. -Inf and BSc. in Computer Systems Engineering from Otto-von-Guericke University. Thomas received a 4 year CAS-fellowship from IBM for his research on fault-diagnosis in cloud computing infrastructures. He has also consulted and did research on various embedded systems projects, ranging from needle-free injectors to state of the art turbo-fan engines.
Chris has over ten years of web development experience and is responsible for designing and managing the
web front-end of the Labforge system. He holds a BA in Psychology and a Computer Science minor from the
University of Waterloo. Previously, Chris was the co-founder of a successful web hosting startup,
and has held positions at Research In Motion and the University of Waterloo.
Sebastian is a tenured professor in the Electrical and Computer Engineering department at the University of Waterloo. His research focus is the development of real-time embedded software, including finding good software abstractions, and assisting or automating development activities such as debugging. With his vast technical expertise and teaching experience, Sebastian provides valuable insights into both the technical and educational domain.
